Accounting for Credit Card Processing Fees

When MonkeyPod processes a credit card transaction for you (for example, a donation through a fundraising page or an invoice payment), it automatically records the processing fees as part of the transaction. (The one exception is if a donor opts to cover the processing fees, in which case those fees are omitted from the transaction record.)

But what if you're accepting credit cards for something outside of MonkeyPod? (For example, you might use a different system to manage an online store.) 

When you record a sale in MonkeyPod, choose to record the payment method and select Credit Card. 

An option to add transaction processing fees will appear below in the "Accounting" section of the form. Enter the amount of the fees there, and you're good to go.
