How to use Tags

Your MonkeyPod allows you to use tags to report on almost anything. Tags span most of the features in the system. You can use them to do everything from tracking how many people came to an event to which interactions you've had with someone about your annual gala. These tags can be customized to fit the needs of your organization and make your work easier.

Where can I use Tags in my MonkeyPod?

You can use tags across the MonkeyPod system to streamline your workflow. Here are a few of our favorite ways to use Tags.

You can use tags to.....

  • Track revenue and expenses that belong together. Whether that thing is a specific event, location, or something similar, tags let you see it all! Want to know how this relates to Accounts and Classes? Start with this article showing the relationship between them.
  • Track action items that belong together. Want to assign action items and tag them to an event so that you can keep track of them? Or maybe you want to keep track of multiple offices or locations? You can use tags for this.
  • Aggregate interactions associated with the same event, program, or location. By enabling the use of tags for interactions you can track them all!
  • Create a budget from a tag. Want to see a budget based on an event, program, or location? You can create a tag level budget!
  • Track anything you want to keep together. You can also use tags as a custom attribute type to track anything you want!
