Learn about Calendly
Calendly makes it easy to schedule meetings with any of your constituents or relationships. And when you integrate MonkeyPod with Calendly, you can automatically record Calendly meetings as interactions or use Calendly forms to collect responses as custom attributes in your MonkeyPod.
MonkeyPod offers two integrations with Calendly. These integrations are available to Pro and Enterprise subscribers.
- Calendly* - Create CRM records whenever someone schedules a meeting.
- Calendly Automation* - Use powerful automations to save time and empower your team.
*To be able to use either one of these - you need to have a Standard level Calendly plan.
What is Calendly?
Calendly is a scheduling and appointment tool that can be used for scheduling meetings, volunteers, or service/space reservations.
You can use it to create Custom Forms to ask people questions about themselves
What is included in the basic Calendly Integration?
The basic Calendly integration will:
- Automatically create or update a CRM record whenever someone schedules a meeting, signs up for volunteer hours, or reserves a service
- Log an interaction in the person's record for seamless relationship management
- Record responses to custom Calendly questions in your CRM for improved search and reporting
What does Calendly Automation do?
If you're looking to further automate your processes, this integration will do everything the Calendly Integration above does as well as:
- Automatically subscribe the person to an email list
- Automatically add the person to a pipeline for workflow management
- Automatically assign an action item to you or your colleagues
How do I install either Calendly Integration in my MonkeyPod?
First and foremost - please note that you must have the Standard Calendly plan to use either integration with MonkeyPod
Once you have your Calendly subscription set, you can install Calendly or Calendly Automation by selecting the Apps & Integrations menu. Then select Integration and select which Calendly integration you would like to install.
Configuring Calendly in your MonkeyPod
Once you install Calendly, it's time to configure it! Configuration comes in two phases: 1) Setup and 2) Events.
Setup
In the Setup tab, select the events you would like MonkeyPod to monitor. Remember, this will create and update any relationship records in the system, so you want to give it some thought!
For example, in the integration below our MonkeyPod will be monitoring the following events:
- 30 Minute Meeting with Cristina Robles Bahm
- 60 Minute Meeting with Cristina Robles Bahm
- 60 Minute Meeting with Cristina Robles Bahm - Extended Hours
So anytime someone schedules one of those events through Calendly, your MonkeyPod will record this interaction and add the user to your CRM.
Events
In the Events tab, use the dropdown menu to select a specific event to configure. Each Calendly event can have different configured settings in MonkeyPod.
In the Calendly Automation App, you have the option of adding the person to a pipeline, subscribing them to an email list, and creating an action item for you or your colleagues that is attached to that person's relationship record.

- What is the difference between the basic Calendly App and Calendly Automation App?
- In addition to automatically creating or updating a relationship record whenever someone schedules an event, the Calendly Automation App allows you to automatically add that person to a pipeline, subscribe them to an email list, and assign an action item to you or your colleagues.
- Can I use Calendly to schedule volunteers?
- Absolutely! Create an event in Calendly with your available volunteer hours. Then share your event link with your volunteers and let them select their desired dates and times. MonkeyPod will automatically record the volunteer contact information for you, as well as any custom questions you have in your Calendly registration form.
- Why do I need to have a Calendly Standard (or higher) subscription?
- Calendly only integrates with external systems, like MonkeyPod, if you have a Standard or Teams subscription. If you have a Free subscription to Calendly, MonkeyPod will not be able to automatically record event data for you.
- I installed the app, but I don't see it listed under MonkeyPod Apps. Did I do something wrong?
- Probably not. Try refreshing your screen. If you refresh and the app still does not appear, email support@monkeypod.io and we'll take a look.
