Learn About MonkeyPod's 'Double the Donation' Integration
Double the Donation is a matching gift platform that helps nonprofits boost fundraising by connecting donors with their employers’ matching gift programs.
Once installed, MonkeyPod's Double the Donation integration will:
- Integrate a Double the Donation gift search into the confirmation page of your MonkeyPod fundraising pages.
- Prompt your donors to activate their employers' matching gift programs.
- Help you raise more money with minimal extra work!
Pricing
MonkeyPod's Double the Donation integration is available for free to all subscribers.
A Double the Donation is required. Double the Donation has free plans for nonprofits that receive few matching donations, but there are fees involved above a certain threshold. Please see the Double the Donation site to learn more about their features and pricing.
How does the Double the Donation integration fit into my MonkeyPod fundraising pages?
With the Double the Donation integration installed, donors will be prompted to search for an employer matching gift program after they submit an online gift through any of your MonkeyPod fundraising pages. The following form is added after the acknowledgement of the donation:
The donor can then search for their employer to see if Double the Donation knows of any matching gift opportunities. If there are opportunities available, the donor will see the option to complete a matching gift request for their employer.
How do I install the Double the Donation integration in my MonkeyPod?
Before you begin, you'll need to have an account with Double the Donation, so go to their site and set that up if you haven't already.
Then, back in your MonkeyPod, choose Apps & Integrations > Fundraising from the main menu and select the More info or install link for Double the Donation.
On the next screen, select the Install button for the integration, and confirm the installation when prompted.
The integration will be installed and the Install button will change to Manage/Update Settings. Select that to continue with the configuration.
Next, you'll be prompted to enter your API keys from the Double the Donation site. As soon as you see that those keys have been confirmed, the Double the Donation option will be activated for all of your MonkeyPod fundraising pages.
Note: MonkeyPod will send information about all gifts received through your fundraising pages to Double the Donation. That includes cases where the donor does not search for a matching opportunity. This allows Double the Donation to help you identify other relevant matching programs that might have missed.
MonkeyPod does not send information on gifts:
- Received through embedded donation forms
- Processed or collected outside MonkeyPod
- Imported into MonkeyPod
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this work for pledges received through the fundraising page as well as donations?
Yes! If someone is pledging support on your fundraising page and chooses to pay by check, they will still receive the option to search for their employer via Double the Donation.
