Updating DNS Records with Wix

To send emails from MonkeyPod, you need to update your DNS records so MonkeyPod is approved to send emails on your behalf. This includes creating an MX record with a specific subdomain.

Many nonprofits use Wix to host their website, and unfortunately, Wix does not allow you to create MX records with a subdomain. Therefore if your website's DNS settings are managed by Wix, you'll need to transfer your domain to a different domain registrar in order to send email via MonkeyPod.

Wix provides instructions on how to transfer your domain in their Help Center.

Instructions for how to accept the domain transfer will vary depending on which domain registrar you choose. MonkeyPod often recommends Namecheap as a domain registrar, but other options include Porkbun, Siteground, and more.

If you decide to move your domain to Namecheap, visit their Knowledge Base for instructions on completing the transfer.
