Overview of Fundraising
One of the many things that MonkeyPod can help your organization with is fundraising through online fundraising pages. Since MonkeyPod is your CRM, accounting system, email outreach software, and fundraising platform, fundraising pages really allow you to harness the power of the "all in one" nature of MonkeyPod.
When a donor gives online, we automate a ton of busywork for you:
- The donor's CRM record is created or updated automatically
- A receipt and thank you email is sent automatically
- The donation is automatically recorded on your books.
What is a Fundraising Page?
A fundraising page is a webpage that allows donors to give directly to your organization through a website.
Online fundraising pages in MonkeyPod come equipped with an easily editable template that allows you to:
- Give a description of your fundraising appeal
- Show how much of your total fundraising goal you have raised
- Give one or more donation options to your donors
MonkeyPod fundraising pages accept a variety of payment methods:
- Credit or debit cards
- ACH payments
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
You can even configure your fundraising pages to allow donors to make a pledge.
And since these fundraising pages are in MonkeyPod's all-in-one platform, when someone makes a donation here, MonkeyPod automatically
- Collects contact information
- Sends receipts
- Accounts for the donations in the accounting system
Sounds great! How do I set one up?
To set up a fundraising page, choose Fundraising > Fundraising Pages from the main menu.
Before you add your first fundraising page, you'll be prompted to install Stripe, which is the software MonkeyPod uses for payment processing. Once that is set up, you can dive in to configuring the page to fit your fundraising event. All the details about setting up Stripe and creating your fundraising pages are covered in our tutorial, How to Make a Fundraising Page.
