One of the many things MonkeyPod can help your organization with is fundraising through online Fundraising Pages. Since MonkeyPod is your CRM, accounting system, email outreach software, and fundraising platform, Fundraising Pages really let you harness the power of the all-in-one nature of MonkeyPod.

When a donor gives online, MonkeyPod automates a ton of busywork for you:

Donor records: the donor's record in your MonkeyPod is created or updated automatically.
Receipts: a receipt and thank-you email is sent automatically, with a PDF copy for the donor's files.
Your books: the donation is recorded automatically, with the processing fee accounted for.

What is a Fundraising Page?

A MonkeyPod Fundraising Page is a webpage where donors can give directly to your organization. You can share its link in emails and on social media, or embed it right on your own website.

Every Fundraising Page lets you:

Tell your story: describe your fundraising appeal, with your logo, color, and a banner photo.
Show your progress: display how much you've raised toward your goal.
Offer choices: give donors one or more donation options, like your Scholarship Fund and your General Fund.
Walk donors through it: donors give in three short steps (their gift, their details, then payment), which keeps things simple, especially on a phone.

Fundraising Pages accept a variety of payment methods:

Credit or debit cards
ACH bank payments
Apple Pay
Google Pay

You can even set up your Fundraising Pages to let donors make a pledge and pay later.

What can my Fundraising Page look like?

Choose from three designs, each built around your organization's color, logo, and photos. You'll pick one on the page's Visual Design tab, and you can preview your own page in each design before you switch.

Maui (Campaign page): your story on the left and the gift form on the right. The form stays in view as donors scroll. Every new page starts here, and it's a great fit for most campaigns.

Can I put a Fundraising Page on my own website?

Yes! Donors are often more comfortable giving on a site they already know and trust: yours. Any page using Maui, Hawaiʻi, or Kauaʻi templates has an embed code you can paste into your website, so donors can give without ever leaving it.

Apple Pay and Google Pay: available on the websites you add to your Allowed Domains list.

Sounds great! How do I set one up?

To set up a fundraising page, choose Fundraising > Fundraising Pages from the main menu.

Before you add your first fundraising page, you'll be prompted to install the Stripe app, which is the software MonkeyPod uses for payment processing. Once that is set up, you can dive in to configuring the page to fit your fundraising event. Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if someone donates who isn't in my MonkeyPod already?

No problem! MonkeyPod automatically creates a new relationship record for the new donor.

Is there an option for donors to cover the credit card processing fee?

Yes there is! Research shows that donors are more likely to cover the credit card processing fees if you give them the option, so we give you a few options on how to present this to them.

What payment methods do MonkeyPod fundraising pages accept?

Fundraising Pages accept credit or debit cards, ACH bank payments, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Note that Apple Pay and Google Pay only appear on certain browsers and devices. To pay with Apple Pay, a donor needs Apple Pay set up on an Apple device and a supported browser like Safari. To pay with Google Pay, a donor needs to be signed in to their Google account in Chrome. On an embedded page, both also require your website to be on your Allowed Domains list.

Can someone make a recurring donation through a fundraising page?

You bet! You can offer one-time, monthly, and annual gifts, and donors can update their card, pause, or stop a recurring gift themselves in the Community Portal.
