Can I Send an Email Campaign to Multiple Lists?

Each email campaign in MonkeyPod is tied to a single email list—there is no option to select multiple lists when setting up a campaign. However, you can send an email campaign to subscribers on multiple lists by combining the subscribers of two lists into one new list using Advanced Relationship Search.

  1. From the Relationships menu, choose Advanced Search.
  2. Set up your first criterion to search for individuals that are subscribed to the first list.
  3. Add a second criterion, separated by OR, that searches for people subscribed to the second list.
  4. Select View Matching Relationships.
  5. After confirming that you've got the results you expected, select Subscribe to Mailing List to subscribe everyone to an existing list, or create a new list to house these subscribers.

Pro Tip: Save your search and create a Smart Email List to make sure this new list always stays up to date. Learn more about creating Smart Email Lists.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will subscribers receive duplicate emails if they appear on more than one of my source lists?

If a contact appears in both source lists and you merge them into a combined list, they will only receive the email once — MonkeyPod deduplicates based on email address.

What if I just want to send to a subset of a single list?

You can use Recipient Targeting in a campaign's Settings tab to narrow your audience by role, custom attribute (True/False type), or prior campaign engagement, without needing to create a separate list. Learn more in How to Segment Your Email Lists in MonkeyPod.
